Doctrines of Scripture
Seven Foundational Doctrines of the Christian Faith
Christian theology does not begin with isolated doctrines. It begins with a connected story.
Doctrines of Scripture follows that theological movement through seven interconnected studies: Scripture, God, Christ, Humanity, Sin, Death, and Salvation. Rather than treating these doctrines as independent theological categories, the series shows how each prepares for the next — from the authoritative revelation through which God is known, to God's comprehensive answer through Jesus Christ.
The purpose of the series is not merely to define theological terms, but to help ordinary Christians see how the major doctrines of Scripture fit together into one coherent biblical story.
Christian doctrine is not a collection of disconnected beliefs. It is the unfolding story of the God who speaks, creates, enters His creation, confronts Sin and Death, and saves through Jesus Christ.

The Seven Modules
Module 1
The Doctrine of Scripture
The God Who Has Spoken
Before Christians can responsibly ask what they believe, they must ask how they know. This module examines revelation, inspiration, inerrancy, canon, textual transmission, translation, interpretation, authority, and the sufficiency of Scripture.
Module 2
The Doctrine of God
The God Who Is
Who is the God revealed in Scripture? This module examines God's existence, character, attributes, holiness, love, sovereignty, transcendence, immanence, and triune nature while emphasizing that Christian theology begins with God's own self-revelation.
Module 3
The Doctrine of Christ
The Word Became Flesh
Christianity ultimately stands or falls upon the identity of Jesus Christ. This module explores His eternal existence, incarnation, full deity and humanity, messianic identity, sinlessness, ministry, death, resurrection, exaltation, and continuing lordship.
Module 4
The Doctrine of Humanity
Created in the Image of God
What does it mean to be human? This module examines humanity as God's image-bearer, our embodied nature, vocation, dignity, relational character, responsibility, and the purpose for which human beings were created.
Module 5
The Doctrine of Sin
When God's Image-Bearers Rebel
Sin is more than individual wrongdoing. Scripture describes it as rebellion, transgression, corruption, slavery, and even a tyrannical power. This module traces Sin from Genesis through Paul's presentation of Sin as a reigning master and prepares the way for understanding why humanity requires more than moral improvement.
Module 6
The Doctrine of Death
The Last Enemy
Scripture treats Death not merely as a biological event but as an enemy associated with Sin's entrance into the human story. This module examines physical, spiritual, and final Death; Sheol; Death's reign; the fear of Death; resurrection; and Christ's ultimate victory over the last enemy.
Module 7
The Doctrine of Salvation
The God Who Saves
The series culminates in God's answer to the human predicament. This module examines grace, faith, justification, redemption, reconciliation, regeneration, union with Christ, adoption, sanctification, assurance, resurrection, and glorification while emphasizing the sufficiency of Jesus Christ.
